The Trout Inn is a family run country pub by the weir pool to St. John's Lock which is the first lock on the River Thames.

We offer an extensive menu of food and drink in a traditional English pub setting.

Our winter opening hours are:

Drinks - Monday to Friday 11.00 - 3.00 and 6.00 to 11.00; Saturday 11.00 - 11.00; Sunday 12.00 - 11.00

If the weather is inclement or we are called away we may close some week end afternoons, but we try not to. Likewise, if the weather is fine we may stay open during the week. Please phone on the day if you are travelling or walking a distance

Food - Monday to Saturday 12.00 to 2.00 and 7.00 to 10.00

Sunday 12.00 to 2.30 and 7.00 to 9.30

If you are coming to visit us but are delayed, please call and we will advise if we can keep the kitchen open for you

-------------------------------------------------------------------

During the winter months we have a real log fire (or two) in the bar where you can sit and enjoy your drinks and meals, or we also have a candlelit restaurant area if you prefer. Penny's Mulled wine is famous for miles around and is just the drink to warm you on a winter's evening

In addition to our bar menu, we have a daily selection of specials on our blackboards, together with a choice of homemade traditional and not so traditional puddings

We hold a limited programme of live music during the winter, please see our events page for monthly listings and our regular "River Folk" evenings are held twice a month.

Our winter quiz nights are world famous and Caroline and Adi are guaranteed to tax your brains.
