The Trout Inn is a family run country pub by the weir pool to St. John's Lock which is the first lock on the River Thames.

We offer an extensive menu of food and drink in a traditional English pub setting.

Our summer opening hours are:

Drinks - Monday to Saturday 11.00 to 4.00 and 6.00 to 11.00

however we normally stay open during the afternoons especially if the weather is favourable

Sunday 12.00 to 11.00

Food - Monday to Saturday 12.00 to 2.00 and 7.00 to 10.00

Sunday 12.00 to 2.30 and 7.00 to 9.30

During the summer months we have a marquee in the garden where you can hold your wedding reception, private party or office gathering.

We offer a wide range of menus for these occasions, Buffets, Barbecues or Pig Roasts, and would be pleased to discuss any requirements you may have. Please see out menu pages for further details.

We hold live Jazz nights every Tuesday and Sunday throughout the summer with a limited porgramme in the winter, and frequently have live rock, blues and covers bands on a Friday night, together with our regular "River Folk" evenings held twice a month. The details are to be found on our events page

We also hold a programme of music extravaganzas during the summer which can take the form of big band concerts, folk concerts and a beer and music festival. We also hold a steam rally every June which has the theme, "Bring anything old that goes!"

Our winter quiz nights are world famous and Caroline and Adi are guaranteed to tax your brains.
